Completely Updating A Property’s Stability and Water Flow

This was a site job we performed over about three weeks’ time. During the consultation, the clients described that they needed a long-term solution to their drainage and hardscaping issues that were still low-maintenance. There were a lot of moving pieces between the tough terrain, the conditions, and the timeline. Throughout our designs, we followed the engineer’s plans closely to balance the client’s needs and the property requirements. We had both our excavator and mini skid for this project, which was perfect for the tight areas and the accessibility of this property.

To address their drainage issues in the yard, we installed a new water line for their 2,500 square foot garage. Installing channel drains redirected water away from the garage door. The water line and drainage are also connected to a rain garden, providing a beautiful landscaping bonus and improving the area’s functionality.

We also installed a retaining wall with liberty blocks and a natural boulder wall. The walls both stabilized and improved the area’s appearance. A staircase of natural blue stone treads, with large stone slabs for landings, improved accessibility. Installing a landscaping bed of river rock and a specified selection of plants also enhanced this new environment.
